On Friday July 6th 2018, multi-platform Arts Company, Create or Die, will present Ex Pose’ Facto, a decade of work by Australian artist Brad Robson.
The show signifies a pinnacle moment in Robsons career and reveals the experimentation, growth and crystallisation of the artists’ style over the past ten years.
Robson has exhibited his work at Woodward Gallery in New York City (with permanent inclusion), where his work is often hung beside Pollock and Warhol, as well as Los Angeles, Spain and an upcoming show in Berlin.
From his origins in graphic art, Robson has bolstered his practice by striving to overcome the fear of failure within the work itself, resulting in a symbiotic relationship between experimentation and articulation of expression.
“I have to be willing to risk it all for the work to reach its ultimate potential. I’m never scared to f*ck it up, with a fear of that kind, the painting won’t ever reach its truest form.” says Robson
His work lives in the shifting moment, it signifies the constant changing and flow of life, by tearing the fabric of how we see ourselves and how the world sees us.
“My work is a reminder that we are all expecting one day to arrive. We are waiting to make some sort of final judgement. I want my work to live in that moment of shift, that moment where we realise that change is, and always will be, inevitable” says Robson
Ex Pose’ Facto is an art show not to be missed; a one-night-only show of curated works, live life-drawing session, a burlesque show presented by Porcelain Alice, large-scale art installations, projection mapping and special music guests.
